SVOLT Thailand and Banpu NEXT Celebrates Its First Battery Pack Offline
December 20, 2023 - SVOLT Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (SVOLT), a global energy interconnection technology company headquartered in Changzhou, China, joins hands with Banpu NEXT, a leading smart energy solutions provider in Asia-Pacific, held an offline ceremony for its first battery pack product in Sriracha Chonburi, Thailand. Zhang Feng, Senior Vice President and CEO of SVOLT Asia Pacific Region, Mr. Sinon Vongkusolkit, CEO of Banpu NEXT,the relevant persons in charge of Great Wall Motor and Hozon Motor,Chen Lei,General Manager of SVOLT Thailand were present at the ceremony.
The product that rolled off the assembly line on the day was the SVOLT LCTP battery pack. Featuring a power capacity of 60KWh, this lithium iron phosphate battery pack enables a driving range of over 500km. Combining SVOLT’s star product – Short Blade L600 cell and LCTP group technology, the product has lower costs, high production efficiency and high energy density, making itself amazingly competitive and an effective solution to the battery in Thailand market. It is reported that SVOLT Thailand factory’s first battery pack product will be launched with the Thailand version of GMW Ora 03 and will be available for bulk supply in the first quarter of 2024 (to be confirmed).
Zhang Feng, Senior Vice President and CEO of SVOLT Asia Pacific Region, said: “The launch of SVOLT Thailand factory’s first battery pack product marks an important milestone in the development of SVOLT in Southeast Asia market. Focusing on EV batteries, two- and three-wheel vehicle batteries, energy storage and recycling businesses, SVOLT Thailand factory is established jointly by SVOLT Thailand, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SVOLT Energy Technology Co, Ltd. and Banpu NEXT, a subsidiary of Banpu, an International Versatile Energy Provider. Since the start of the battery pack project in July, the project team has faced a number of challenges and completed the process from factory renovation to product launch within just 5 months. The successful launch of the first battery pack marks a new stage of cooperation between the two parties. In the future, they will continue to expand Thailand and Southeast Asia market and help with the energy upgrade in Southeast Asia with low-carbon and efficient new energy products.
